Tim and I have been trying to get together for a fall color photo trip for quite a few weeks now. With various time constraints it sounded like a drive up Highway 2 to Deception Falls and around that area would be the best for either fall color or some decent creek photos.

Our first stop was Deception Falls, then we explored Old Highway 2 and found some amazing creeks. Back down the road we stopped at a few rivers and Tim's favorite spot, Eagle Falls.

My personal favorite was the curvy road we found on the backroad between Index and Gold Bar as well as the Skyland Ranch near Gold Bar. The fall color of the trip proved elusive. The vine maples had passed and there were few maples left north of Baring, but it was a productive trip nonetheless.
